A "Covered
Peril" is a legal term implying to; The risk, hazard, or contingency insured
against by a policy of insurance.
ONCE AN APPRAISAL OF DAMAGES TO REPAIR YOUR VEHICLE HAS BEEN PREPARED BY YOUR INSURANCE COMPANY ADJUSTER. YOU MUST TAKE THIS APPRAISAL TO THE REPAIR SHOP OF YOUR CHOICE AND PRESENT IT TO THEM.
THE REPAIR SHOP WILL THEN ORDER ANY PARTS FOR YOUR CAR TO BE REPAIRED. WHEN THE PARTS COME IN, THE SHOP WILL SCHEDULE YOU FOR AN APPOINTMENT TO HAVE THE DAMAGE REPAIRED.
ONCE YOUR VEHICLE IS IN THE REPAIR SHOP, IF ANY ADDITIONAL DAMAGE IS FOUND THAT RELATES TO YOUR LOSS, THE REPAIR SHOP WILL CONTACT THE ADJUSTER SHOWN AT THE TOP OF THE APPRAISAL TO DISCUSS ANY ADDITIONAL DAMAGE FOUND.
In most cases any ADDITIONAL ITEMS ARE TAKEN CARE OF DIRECTLY WITH THE REPAIR SHOP. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO GET INVOLVED OR INCONVENIENCED REGARDING YOUR LOSS. YOU DO NOT NEED TO GET ADDITIONAL ESTIMATES.
IF YOU HAVE PREVIOUSLY OBTAINED ESTIMATES FROM REPAIR SHOPS THEY MAY BE HIGHER OR LOWER THAN THE INSURANCE COMPANY'S APPRAISAL. DO NOT BECOME CONCERNED AS THE REPAIR SHOP WILL GO BY THE INSURANCE COMPANY'S APPRAISAL PROVIDED TO YOU.
