This correspondence is to inform you of your duty to mitigate your damages, as called for under the law.  We are currently conducting an investigation into this loss.  While this investigation is being completed, it is your duty to mitigate, or lesson, the extent of your damages.

Therefore, we are advising at this time that no rental or storage fees will be considered beyond the date of your receipt of this letter.  You must remove your Vehicle from any storage facility where fees are being accrued and/or arrange transportation or temporary repairs so that further rental expense is not necessary.
